Salvador Armendariz, MSW

Research Assistant

Salvador Armendariz joined the staff of the Butler Institute for Families in July 2011 after having held a work-study position here since the fall of 2010.

Salvador is a recent graduate of the Graduate School of Social Work at the University of Denver. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in social work in 2008 from Union College in Lincoln, NE. Salvador has worked providing direct services and public policy advocacy for families involved in the child welfare system. In addition, Salvador has worked with nonprofit organizations that serve the homeless, immigrants, and people in human trafficking situations. Salvador also spent a year in south India providing assistance to a children’s home administrator. He is also a part-time student at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies and looks forward to continuing strengthen underprivileged populations through the nonprofit and public sectors.

Salvador is well-versed in collecting, managing, and reporting qualitative and quantitative data using a variety software. Salvador’s current work at the Butler Institute consists of providing research and evaluation support for the National Child Welfare Workforce Institute (NCWWI).
