Project Overview
The Trainer’s Boot Camp is an opportunity for trainers to come together to learn and share the art of their profession. Topics range from classroom management to platform delivery skills.
Training Timeframe: 4-days
Project Summary:
Frequently people become trainers or presenters because they are good at what they do and are tapped to teach others. Yet often there is no mentoring or direction for this new role. Boot camp is designed to fill this void and bring trainers together to explore all the various aspects that go into pulling off a seamless training or presentation. The overall goals of Boot Camp are to:
- Understand the value and process for creating competency-based training and curriculum.
- Understand and value different learning styles and how to integrate then into training development.
- Understand how and when to use technology in the training environment
- Explore methods of group engagement, cooperative learning and strategies for managing challenging behaviors.
- Understand the importance of effective platform delivery skills and pinpoint areas for individual work.
- Understand the concept of transfer of learning and examine methods to accomplish this.
- Integrate Boot Camp information and ideas as they deliver a presentation and receive feedback from their peers.
Boot Camp has been delivered in Denver, Indiana and Washington DC to rave reviews. Through this four-day intense boot camp experience, participants report leaving with an understanding of how to deliver an effective training from beginning to end, concrete ways to enhance their platform delivery skills and a renewed commitment to making the learning environment the best it can be.
