Description:
We address workforce challenges in child welfare by promoting specialized social work education through specifically designed child welfare traineeship programs. These programs increase the knowledge, skills and abilities of Title IV-E and IV-B stipend students for professional service and leadership in child welfare. We build agency, college and university collaborations to provide funding and productive educational experiences for current or prospective child welfare workers. MSW and BSW stipend students’ course of study includes classes targeting core child welfare competencies and field internships designed to maximize the transfer of education to the job.

- Policy, procedure and protocol design for college and university traineeship programs
- Implementing university/college and child welfare system collaborations
- Building child welfare agency systems for BSW and MSW field placement support
- Student recruitment, selection, award , support and follow-up
