Course Description:
(This training was previously titled Compassion Fatigue: A Supervisor’s Training for Coping)
Child welfare work continually strains our ability to feel compassion for, and engage families in, a consistent and warm manner, despite our commitment and enthusiasm to help. You and your staff face the most challenging situations, confront anger every day, and often feel beleaguered by the hectic pace of heavy workloads. As a supervisor, this course addresses how you can maintain your own sanity, and buoy your caseworkers in this difficult environment. This one-day training provides important knowledge and skills to help you to build resilience for yourself and your caseworkers.
