The Scaling the Summit Institute is presented by the Western Regional Recruitment & Retention Project and is partially funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, Children’s Bureau.
The Western Regional Recruitment and Retention Project (WRRRP) developed and managed by the Butler Institute for Families at the Graduate School of Social Work, University of Denver, addressed recruitment, selection, and retention issues in five rural and urban sites in the greater Rocky Mountain region – specifically in Colorado, Arizona, and Wyoming.
Comprehensive organizational assessments guided a strategic approach to the issues of recruitment, selection, and retention. Project staff, together with a planning team in each agency, completed a thorough planning process using the information from the organizational assessments to develop site-specific strategic plans of needs, priorities and training interventions.
