Program Development & Capacity Building:
Recent Projects
For the past two decades the Butler Institute has developed a strong record of collaboration with the Federal Department of Health and Human Services and various states, counties, and community entities to enhance the capacity of child and family-serving systems. Using a collaborative approach among formal agencies, the community, and consumers, the Institute advocates for evidence-based practice, sound public policies, and quality services.
Recent project examples include:
-
Hopi Tribe Training and Strategic Planning:
Funded through a collaboration with American Humane Association, the project provided strategic planning and training to the Hopi Nation.
-
National Clearing House on Child Abuse and Neglect Information:
Through a DHHS subcontract with Caliber and Associates, the Butler Institute identified national child welfare training resources, as well as identified gaps and critical information needs.
-
Ongoing Philadelphia Outcome Measurement Project:
Funded under a contract with the American Humane Association, this project examined the association among measures of child well-being, child safety and permanency and provided technical assistance for implementing evidence based service planning.
