Class Description:
The purpose of this workshop is to increase the percentage of youth and young adults who have the skills and knowledge to make informed decisions about healthy relationships including the skills that can help them eventually form and sustain healthy relationships. Training participants learn about how to help youth understand what healthy relationships are and to provide them with the skills necessary to attain and maintain them. Foster youth who have healthy relationships more successfully transition from care to life on their own. This training is part of a three-course training series, which focuses on Building Health Relationships. The other two trainings are: Working with Incarcerated Parents and Working with Families Experiencing Domestic Violence.
Target Audience:
Human Service Workers, Community Advocates, Court Representatives, Teachers, Medical/Mental Health Professionals, Foster Parents, and other children and family service providers.
