Training Description:

Intake is the first link in the chain of agency efforts to protect children and preserve families. This one-day training for Intake workers at the central hotlines who take reports provides information and skill development to improve the quality of reports so better decisions can be made about report disposition. A brief, 3 hour training has also been developed for Social Workers who may have the need to take reports and send them into the central hotline.

 

Target Audience:

Intake Caseworkers.

 

Competencies
  • Participants will use a customer service orientation when receiving referrals.
  • Participants will be able to obtain and document thorough information at the point of referral that will inform effective decision-making.
