Class Description:

This one and one-half day training is for members of the multi-disciplinary teams (MDT) operating under the new Colorado Sex Offender Management Board standards for juveniles who have committed sexual offenses. The training covers best practice evaluation and assessment, current issues in evaluation, and the use of evaluation by the MDT in decision making.

 

Target Audience:

Multi-disciplinary teams operating under the new Colorado Sex Offender Management Board standards for juveniles who have committed sexual offenses.

 

Competencies:
  • Identify guiding principles and issues related to sex offense specific evaluation and assessment.
  • Identify and understand the purpose and goals of a sex offense specific evaluation.
  • Identify and understand the phases of evaluation and assessment.
  • Identify the areas that are being addressed in a sex offense specific evaluation.
  • Understand how to use the evaluation to develop the treatment plan.
