Class Description:
  • Understand how your values about sexual orientation and gender identity impact your work with youth.
  • Learn the relevant terms, language, and definitions when working GLBTQ youth.
  • Explore resources available to youth in your community.
  • Learn how to assess and provide services to help GLBTQ youth stay safe in out-of-home care.
  • Help GLBTQ youth understand the consequences of sexual activity.
Target Audience:

This training is for Human Service Workers, Community Advocates, Court Representatives, Probation, Medical/ Mental Health Professionals, Foster Parents and anyone else working with GLBTQ Youth.

 

This training is presented by the Butler Institute for Families at the University of Denver and funded by the Gill Foundation.
